Provision of Consulting Services for the Finalization of Detailed Design and Construction Supervision of the Mesurado Industrial and Artisanal Landing Facilities and Related Fisheries Infrastructure

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION INTEREST (REOI) Loan/ Credit No. IDA V3100 PROJECT ID: P172012 Subject: Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) Provision of Consulting Services for the Finalization of Detailed Design and Construction Supervision of the Mesurado Industrial and Artisanal Landing Facilities and Related Fisheries Infrastructure Reference No.: LR-NAFAA-539905-CS-QCBS The government of Liberia through the National Fisheries and Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA) has received support from the World Bank Group toward the implementation of the “Liberia Sustainable Management of Fisheries Project (LSMFP)”, and intends to utilize part of the funds to complete the Detailed Engineering Design (DED) of the above facilities which currently are incomplete due to the lack of the design geotechnical parameters. This updated design is expected to be a state-of-the-art facility designed to meet modern demands - incorporating climate-smart approaches, aligning with global best practices in sustainable development while symbolizing Liberia’s commitment to effective fisheries management. The objective of the consultancy is to contract a consulting firm to undertake: Analyze the data from the geotechnical laboratory tests (carried out under a separate contract); Complete the final design of the riding piles of the floating jetties in the canoe hub; Complete the settlement analysis of the reclaimed areas and the stability of the breakwater; Complete the final design of the piled export jetty herein termed as “ Design Phase” and, upon satisfactory performance, supervise the construction contract executed by the Contractor and, in addition, provide the associated services during the required twelve-month Defects Liability Period (DLP) hereafter termed as “ Supervision Phase”.
