The project will be implemented in the Issyk-Kul Region, located in the northeastern part of the country around Lake Issyk-Kul, approximately 350–400 kilometers east of the capital city, Bishkek. The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic will jointly finance the project with an additional contribution of USD 2.00 million. A portion of the proceeds will be applied to eligible payments for goods, works, related services, and consulting services to be procured under this project. The project includes the following components: Lot 1: Design, supply, installation, construction, and commissioning of: 220/110/10 kV Substation in Karakol (250 MVA) 220/110/24 kV Substation in Tamga (125 MVA) 220/110/10 kV Substation in Karakol (250 MVA) 220/110/24 kV Substation in Tamga (125 MVA) Lot 2: Construction of: 220 kV Overhead Transmission Line (approx. 80 km) 110 kV Overhead Transmission Line (approx. 15 km) 220 kV Overhead Transmission Line (approx. 80 km) 110 kV Overhead Transmission Line (approx. 15 km) Component 2: Project Management and Supervision Consultant (PMC) to be procured through Quality and Cost-Based Selection (QCBS) with shortlisting among the IsDB Member Countries’ consultancy firms.
