The main service areas comprise of urban grass, shrub and hedge cutting to contribute to visual amenity and to keep roads and pavements clear of vegetation for the safe passage of highway users. Works are conducted typically Monday to Friday. The annual activities required under this contract consist of the following: • Six programmed urban grass cutting visits • One shrub bed maintenance visit • One hedge maintenance visit • Two rose bed maintenance visits • One conservation verge and wildflower programmed maintenance visit • Other programmed activities • Ad hoc works The Council does not guarantee any minimum value, volume of work, or spend under the contract. The expected total contract value for this procurement amounts to £22,500,000. This is broken down as follows (all figures are estimates): -Initial Term 60 months (5 years) totalling £10,125,000 (Lot 1 - £4,556,250 Lot 2 - £5,568,750) -Optional Extension Term up to 36 months (3 years) totalling £6,075,000 (Lot 1 - £2,733,750 Lot 2 - £3,341,250) However, to allow for any future increases in funding, any future inflation, Compensation Events, and any other unexpected but in-scope spend, the total maximum contract value w

The Council aims to contract with suppliers to provide and maintain a high quality, responsive arboricultural (tree) maintenance service for the whole City. The framework agreement contracts resulting from this procurement will commence on 1st April 2027. This procurement project will go through three stages, and this notice initially invites suppliers to participate in stage - 1 Invitation to Participate (ITP). The submission deadline for this stage is: 12pm 1st June 2026. Only suppliers that pass stage 1 will proceed to stage 2 - Onsite Assessment and only suppliers that pass stage 2 will be able to participate in stage 3 - Invitation to Tender. This procurement will be split into 3 Lots: Lot 1 North, Lot 2 South and Lot 3 Provision of Tree/Enquiry Inspections. Please see the documents in attached to this project on Intend for further details. If you have any clarification questions regarding stage 1 - Invitation to Participate, please submit them using Intend's project correspondence function. FLS is establishing a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the provision of Specialised Peatland Restoration services across Scotland’s national forests and land. A Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) is an electronic system established by a contracting authority to purchase commonly used goods, works or services in accordance with the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015. Admittance to a DPS gives participants the opportunity to subsequently bid for relevant future opportunities which are procured through the DPS. The purpose of the DPS is to provide a compliant route to market for FLS to procure services which are unable to be provided through existing contracts or to replace contracts which have terminated or expired. The scope of the DPS is primarily for restoration operations including but not limited to: - Site Rewetting and Associated Services including peatland rewetting and hydrological restoration, hag and gully restoration, and mulching; - Specialised Peatland Harvesting including specialised tree removal for peatland restoration, mechanical mulching, and brash and timber management; - Supporting works including chainsaw works, temporary watercourse crossings, creation of access tracks, and supply and installation of associated materials.
