RE-BID - REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) invites qualified and experienced firms to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the provision of food safety laboratory testing services for its catering facilities, cafeterias, and restaurants in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. UNECA seeks to engage a competent and accredited laboratory to carry out microbiological and chemical analysis of food samples, as well as environmental hygiene testing, on both a routine (monthly) and ad hoc basis. The selected service provider will be responsible for sample collection, transportation, laboratory analysis, reporting, and providing professional recommendations to improve food safety practices. The scope of services includes testing for foodborne pathogens (such as Salmonella, E. coli, and Listeria), chemical contaminants, food additives, water quality, and surface hygiene, in accordance with internationally recognized standards, including ISO/IEC 17025 and relevant WHO/FAO guidelines. Interested firms must be legally registered and licensed to provide laboratory services, hold valid accreditation, and demonstrate relevant experience in food safety testing. Applicants should have qualified technical staff, adequate laboratory facilities, and the capacity to deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality results in line with international standards. The buildings currently require extensive renovation before they can be put to future use. This Request for Expression of Interest (REOI) aims to identify interested potential tenants who will propose a project that includes renovation of the buildings and who are willing to engage in discussions concerning the future use of the land and buildings. The Headless CMS service is intended to support evolving UNFCCC digital service delivery requirements across web, mobile and related communication channels as part of a broader integrated ecosystem. Content shall be exposed exclusively through well-documented, secure, and scalable APIs, with no assumptions about specific front-end frameworks or presentation layers. Indicative scope includes the SaaS subscription, content delivery via APIs (REST and/or GraphQL), structured content modelling, multilingual content support across the six UN languages plus additional event-specific locales, enterprise-grade security including SSO integration with Microsoft EntraID, support arrangements covering UNFCCC business hours and event-driven peak periods, and consumption-based pricing across baseline, peak load and full adoption scenarios.
